Structured Transitions for Ophthalmology Founders

A Permanent Home for Ophthalmology

We buy ophthalmology practices from retiring physicians. We keep your staff, bring in a successor doctor, and make sure your patients are taken care of.

What Practice Owners Think When Considering a Sale

I built something great, but I don't want to sell it to the wrong people.

The team matters more to me than the check.

The Crisis

The Succession Crisis
No One Is Solving

Most solo ophthalmologists nearing retirement have never had a single conversation about what happens to their practice when they are done. Their practices generate strong revenue and their patients depend on them, but more than half are over 55 with no successor in place. That's where we come in.

How It Works

1 Practice 3 Systems.

The practice still moves as one team in one direction. The structure is what makes that possible: authority is divided so cleanly that trust never has to be renegotiated.

01

Physician Owned

Clinical Entity

The physician owns the clinical entity outright, which means patient care, clinical judgment, and professional standards answer to a doctor and nobody else.

02

Verdira Operated

Operating Platform

Verdira carries the business itself, from billing and staffing to marketing, systems, and facilities, so the physician's day belongs to medicine.

03

Physician Owned

Long-Term Aligned

Succession and continuity are planned at the platform level, where the incentive is to hold and grow the practice rather than position it for a sale.

It's all in writing before anyone signs.

What We Protect, and What Comes Next

What Gets Protected, and Why It Matters

After we acquire the practice, we learn how it actually runs. Your patients, your team, and your reputation in the community are what we protect first.

?

What Happens Next

You're considering selling your practice. You tell us what matters most, we show you exactly how we'd handle it, and if the fit is right, structured terms follow.

Questions

What Practice Owners Ask

What happens to my people?

Our model is built around keeping what works. The staff who know your patients, workflows, and culture are an asset. We add operational support around them, not instead of them.

Will my name stay on the door?

Yes. You built the brand and patients trust it. We're not here to replace that with a corporate name.

Are you private equity?

No. Verdira is a permanent hold company. There's no fund with a 3-5 year exit clock. No outside investors demanding a flip. We acquire, improve operations, and hold for the long term.

How are patient care standards protected?

The clinical entity stays physician-owned. We operate through an MSO structure: we handle business operations, marketing, equipment, and staffing. Clinical decisions stay with the doctor. We don't practice medicine.
